We consider cocoons to be a place of protection, a safe haven. But cocoons are also a place of great change - a change of scenery, a change of mindset, a change of identity. Creating an act of meditation in small lines and minuscule details, these works reflect human metamorphosis within ourselves and to each other. Teetering on the juxtaposition edge of warm, soft intimacy and feelings of entrapment and suffocation, the images handle both jarring ends with a bit of light humor and great sensitivity.
